o14 ★ PHILOSOPHIZING

It's amazing how, one day everyone can be going on about... uh... female... body parts... and one day people can be talking about morals and choices, and going home.

Whatever happens, I just hope there's a way for everyone to get what they want- whether it's a way home, or a life here. There's no reason why we have to fight each other in order for that to happen, right? I know I don't want this to become a battle. I've got one of those waiting for me at home already.

Olivier? I have those nails you asked for. Did you want to meet somewhere?

I think going against people with similar goals would be counterproductive.

[identity profile] hangedhourai.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
As much as I hate to admit it I doubt we'll get much done otherwise.

I'm sure there are going to be idiots who think otherwise though.

[identity profile] spunky-explorer.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be the best case scenario. But if there are those that are out to get a fight, one would most likely happen.

[identity profile] spunky-explorer.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess it's because no one knows yet what really will happen. Even the possibility of any of us getting out is still in theory from what I can tell.

[identity profile] hangedhourai.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That is true. It would be almost impossible for everyone to agree with us and I don't see a point in trying to convince the ignorant.

[identity profile] beatssuperpaper.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The issue is that it is very possible that there would be the need to fight each other. Usually, the only way to break a gameboard like this one is to shatter it whole, which will inevitably result in enough chaos that those who wish things to remain as they are will resist it.

Maybe we are lucky and this will not be required, though. It'd be the first gameboard setup like this I'd encounter, though.

Hm-mm. That's true. But they seem awfully good at hiding the exit.

Where I am from, situations like the one we find ourselves in are usually games played by witches, using human pieces as pawns. The part of the world they take place in are considered the game board.

In the current case, there seems to be no witch as such, as far as we can see, but certainly there are powerful entities playing with the inhabitants. Thus, one can liken the city to a gameboard as well.

I think I choose my words well, but stubborn isn't a bad word for it.

I'm sure people will be trying to come up with a strategy that won't harm anyone... It may not be possible, but some will try.

As for the nails, I'm free and clear of drone charges today, so we can meet anywhere you find convenient.

[identity profile] followyouthere.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
People had better not be starting a fucking fight over this shit. How completely stupid. If someone wants to stay, let them; do whatever you want for all I care.

[identity profile] spunky-explorer.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Can't argue with that point.

[identity profile] a-gentle-boy.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
. . . If people really want to stay . . . it might not be possible for the rest of us to leave without a fight.

I find the topic of mortality far more intellectual than the latter.

[The line goes quiet for a long time. When she does talk, she sounds distant and agitated.]

No. Not really.
