o14 ★ PHILOSOPHIZING

It's amazing how, one day everyone can be going on about... uh... female... body parts... and one day people can be talking about morals and choices, and going home.

Whatever happens, I just hope there's a way for everyone to get what they want- whether it's a way home, or a life here. There's no reason why we have to fight each other in order for that to happen, right? I know I don't want this to become a battle. I've got one of those waiting for me at home already.

[ FILTERED TO OLIVIER ]

Olivier? I have those nails you asked for. Did you want to meet somewhere?

The issue is that it is very possible that there would be the need to fight each other. Usually, the only way to break a gameboard like this one is to shatter it whole, which will inevitably result in enough chaos that those who wish things to remain as they are will resist it.

Maybe we are lucky and this will not be required, though. It'd be the first gameboard setup like this I'd encounter, though.

Where I am from, situations like the one we find ourselves in are usually games played by witches, using human pieces as pawns. The part of the world they take place in are considered the game board.

In the current case, there seems to be no witch as such, as far as we can see, but certainly there are powerful entities playing with the inhabitants. Thus, one can liken the city to a gameboard as well.

A fair point, but it would appear that those running such shemes usually have little concern for ethics.

Oh, yes. Some can be impaled on their own logic like a bug, until their existance has been proven wrong and they vanish in a mist of blood.
